"Sint" is coming our way...

In the Netherlands we have a very old tradition. Every year there is a saint coming from Spain on his boat to our country to celebrate his birthday with us. We welcome him with lots of songs and hope he will bring presents for the children! He is on his way now and will arrive this coming weekend. Then we will have to wait till the 5th of december to celebrate his birthday and become sweets and presents... At the fam.store* we sell these wonderful labels made by Tess Argante to make your presents look even more beautiful.

New Dutch ABC poster

Everywhere I see these wonderful ABC posters for kids, but they are always in french or english.
So I never buy them for my kids because it makes it even harder to learn to read and write.
Finally we have a great new one, in dutch and brilliant colors! It's made by two dutch designers (Letterpost) from my own city, Utrecht. They designed and produced it themselves.
A3 so not to big! And looks great in the kids rooms.

Ed Emberly saves our rainy holiday(s)...

Where ever we go, on a trip or holiday, we always take the drawing books of Ed Emberly with us!
In the 70's he was a great hero and for us he still is. He helps children draw step by step by using basic shapes. This way they can create anything they like and it shows everyone can draw (even you!).
I would like to share some of our creations, all with a little help of his book.

There are a lot more books, all for sale in our shop! http://www.famstore.nl/c-817586/more-to-colour/
